Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour plus extra for kneading
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast 1 packet
  • 1 cup warm milk about 110°F
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 egg yolk optional, for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon milk optional, for egg wash

Instructions
 

  • Activate the yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar. Let it sit until foamy.
  • Mix flour, sugar, salt, and the activated yeast mixture. Knead until a soft dough forms.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm area until doubled in size.
  • Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread cinnamon sugar evenly across the surface.

  • Tightly roll the dough and pinch the seams to seal. Place in a greased loaf pan
  • Allow the dough to rise again until it reaches the top of the pan.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage. This bread is great for breakfast, snacking, or dessert.
