Ingredients
  

  • 500 g white fish fillets cod or tilapia
  • 8 small tortillas corn or flour
  • 2 cups cabbage shredded
  • 1 lime cut into wedges
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup sour cream or yogurt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 avocado sliced optional
  • 1 cup tomatoes diced optional
  • 2 tbsp fresh herbs chopped optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the fish by patting it dry and seasoning with salt pepper paprika and cumin
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and cook the fish for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden and flaky
  • Remove the fish and break it into small pieces
  • Slice cabbage into thin strips and set aside
  • In a bowl mix sour cream or yogurt with lime juice and minced garlic to make the sauce
  • Warm the tortillas in a pan for about 30 seconds per side until soft
  • Place fish inside each tortilla then add cabbage on top
  • Drizzle the sauce over the fish and finish with a squeeze of fresh lime
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your fish tacos

Notes

Use fresh fish for the best flavor
Do not overcook the fish to keep it soft and juicy
Warm tortillas before serving to prevent breaking
Add sauce just before serving to avoid soggy tacos
Adjust spices to match your taste
You can bake the fish at 200 C for 12 minutes for a lighter version
